Panelists from the Health Professions Accreditors Collaborative (HPAC) and the National Center for Interprofessional Practice and Education will share the report鈥檚 development process and the implications for institutions on communication and collaboration within interprofessional education (IPE).

The writing team members will also discuss the document鈥檚 consensus on terminology, systematic approach for IPE, framework to develop an IPE program, and direction for accreditation boards/commissions to assess IPE standards.

Health professions faculty, students, and clinicians will discover best practices that they can use to assist with IPE efforts at their home institutions in anticipation of accreditation.

Objectives:

  • Summarize the findings of the report from HPAC and National Center for Interprofessional Practice and Education with regard to terminology, frameworks, and direction for accreditation boards on IPE.
  • Plan an approach to foster IPE in their home institutions.
  • Incorporate goals, design, assessment and evaluation into plan for quality IPE program.
  • Examine the impact of accreditation boards on establishing quality elements into their standards.

Continuing Education Credits

Eligible attendees may receive one Certified in Public Health (CPH) continuing education credit or one continuing nursing education (CNE) contact hour for participating in this webinar. The American Association of Colleges of Nursing (大象传媒) is an accredited CNE-provider by the American Nurses Credentialing Center鈥檚 Commission on Accreditation. The Association of Schools and Programs of Public Health (ASPPH) works with the Council on Education for Public Health (CEPH) to provide CPH credits.
