The Interprofessional Education Collaborative (IPEC) is proud to announce its second 2019 webinar featuring a presentation highlighting the honorable mention winners of the United States Public Health Service (USPHS) and IPEC Public Health Excellence in Interprofessional Education (IPE) Collaboration Award. The annual USPHS IPEC Award is a joint effort to recognize interprofessional health education teams that have significantly impacted the community through multidisciplinary collaboration on a program geared toward improving health knowledge, awareness, and behavior.

The webinar will highlight 2017 and 2018 honorable mention winners in the category of health communications and technology. While sharing their IPE projects, Telemedicine: Crossing Global Barriers to Health Education and Patient Care to Prevent Lower Extremity Amputation and Community Paramedicine, Drs. Robert Joseph and Victoria Reinhartz will identify different strategies utilizing health communication and information technology to improve interprofessional care team training.

Health professions faculty, students, and clinicians will discover best practices that they can use to assist with IPE efforts at their home institutions.

Objectives:

  • Describe successful IPE strategies using health information technology to improve interprofessional care team communications at Rosalind Franklin University and at Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine (LECOM)
  • Explore the value of health communications strategies and health information technology to improving health outcomes and health care quality
  • Analyze the outcomes presented in Rosalind Franklin鈥檚 and LECOM鈥檚 IPE projects for applicability at your home institution


Pricing and CE Credit

This webinar is free and open to everyone including non-members, communities of interest, practice representatives, and 大象传媒 member schools including deans, faculty, staff, and students.
Continuing Education Credits

Eligible attendees may receive one Certified in Public Health (CPH) continuing education credit or one continuing nursing education (CNE) contact hour for participating in this webinar. The American Association of Colleges of Nursing (大象传媒) is an accredited CNE-provider by the American Nurses Credentialing Center鈥檚 Commission on Accreditation. The Association of Schools and Programs of Public Health (ASPPH) works with the Council on Education for Public Health (CEPH) to provide CPH credits.
