Executive Director of the School of Nursing - 107390

 

University of West Florida (UWF), located in Pensacola, FL is searching for a full-time Executive Director of the School of Nursing. The position plays a pivotal role in providing visionary leadership and strategic direction for the academic and administrative functions of the School. We seek a dynamic and experienced leader with a deep understanding of nursing education, a commitment to excellence, and the ability to foster a collaborative and innovative learning environment.

Leadership and Vision:

  • Develop and communicate a compelling vision for the School of Nursing that aligns with the institution's overall mission and strategic goals.
  • Provide strategic leadership to advance the school's reputation, programs, and impact on healthcare education.

 

Academic Excellence:

  • Oversee the development, implementation, and evaluation of high-quality nursing programs, ensuring compliance with accreditation standards and industry best practices.
  • Faculty and Staff Management:
  • Recruit, mentor, and retain highly qualified faculty and staff.
  • Facilitate professional development opportunities to enhance the skills and expertise of faculty members.

 

Student Success:

  • Prioritize student success and engagement through the development and implementation of student-centered programs and support services.
  • Monitor and enhance student retention and graduation rates.

 

Qualifications:

  • Doctoral degree in nursing or a related field (PhD, EdD or DNP), with a current Florida or Multistate Nursing License or eligible for licensure in the state of Florida.
  • Must be able to be appointed as one of the following: Associate Professor, Associate Clinical Professor, Full Professor, or Full Clinical Professor.
  • Extensive experience in nursing education, with a proven track record of leadership and administrative success.
  • Strong understanding of CCNE accreditation processes and NCLEX test preparation.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and team-building skills.
  • Financial acumen and experience managing budgets.
  • Visionary thinking and the ability to lead and inspire others toward a shared vision.
